Why I want to see 75% of the World.

Sometimes I wonder why too.
It seems like a crazy idea doesn’t it?
I am not well travelled. I spent most of my 20’s depressed and didn’t travel much, in fact I did very little.
The best holiday I had was in 2010 when I went to Montreal, Canada for the Canadian Grand Prix. It was an incredible trip as I had travelled solo.

A friend introduced me to the TripAdvisor World Map, after spending a few hours marking everywhere that I have been in my whole lifetime. I was quite shocked at how low that number was. So I started on 4%. I accept that I won’t be able to see everything but I think that 75% is a good number to aim for.
Although nothing is guaranteed, I plan to live to be over the age of 75 so I thought if I cover 1% of the world each year that would balance it out. As I am currently on 7% and I am in my thirties so I have quite a lot of catching up to do. Challenge accepted – I have two destinations already planned for this year.
It does mean that I will need to make travel my priority. Basically to reach to 1% I need to cover at least 2000 miles. This blog will help me document my trips and also help fund my travels through affiliates.
I think life is too short to stay in one place and there is a whole wide world out there for me to explore!
